How Solar PV Systems Work

  1. Solar Panels: This core of a PV system, are made up of photovoltaic cells that absorb sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity.
  2. Inverters: We use alternating current (AC) electricity, so inverters are used to convert the DC electricity into AC electricity.
  3. Mounting Systems: These are used to securely attach the solar panels, ensuring they are optimally positioned to capture sunlight.
  4. Balance of System (BOS) Components: This includes all the additional parts like wiring, switches, and safety devices that are necessary for the system to function properly.
